For those of you who don’t know what Pitch Wars is, it’s a writing contest run by the amazing Brenda Drake and her team. You can read more about it here.

Ghost Hunter is my middle-grade horror novel about a girl who discovers her ghost-hunting mother is a fraud when she tries to warn her about the monster that is lurking in their house.

I’m going to spend the next month doing edits with the brilliant Stephanie Faris, and then I will have a chance to pitch my story to literary agents.

Already, it’s been a rewarding journey. I’ve actually gotten into middle-grade and young adult Twitter, which has been fun and really helpful for me as both a writer and a librarian. I’ve made new friends, and I’ve created this website. Hopefully, this is only the start of a really awesome adventure.

Wish me luck! 🙂
