It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here, and I’m sorry for that. I was asked a few months ago to join From the Mixed-Up Files of Middle Grade Authors, a blog by middle-grade writers for anyone who loves middle grade books. It’s been an extreme honor working with them, and I’ve gotten to do some cool things.

My first story was an article about the new DC Zoom imprint that specifically features middle grade titles. I’m a DC fangirl at heart. So, this was pretty cool, and an upshot of writing this was that their marketing team sent me an ARC of the new DC Superhero girls series, which I totally love.

This led to my next story, an interview with Shea Fontana, who writes the DC Superhero Girls Universe.

Then, Halloween came around, and my nephew was (and still is) super-obsessed with Fortnite. So, I thought up some cool books that he could pair up with his Fortnite costume for his school’s literary parade. That story even got some love from Fortnite Twitch streamers.

Today, I returned to my old school library roots and interviewed one of my good friends at the Osceola library about a really cool program that he’s been working on. Check it out here: https://www.fromthemixedupfiles.com/2018/12/more-than-a-middle-grade-book-club/

I’ll try to keep you updated as I write more stories for the Mixed-Up Files, and as I progress in my own writing journey.
